I have always been a creative person. I was particularly gifted at a young age, reading full chapter books by the age of 7. My love of reading sparked my interest in writing. In the desk which sits in the family room of my parents' house, there sit dozens upon dozens of short stories and poems which I have written throughout my life, from age 7 all the way up to age 14. Of course, after I hit that age, I began to keep my writing private, as most teens do. I expressed my creativity not only through writing but through music as well. I was in band throughout all of my adolescence, learning every instrument I possibly could and auditioning for as many honor bands as I was able. Currently, I believe I am able to play seven instruments at an intermediate level.
